Anti-Qin Coalition Fragmentation / 反秦阵营诸侯化分裂

Anti-Qin coalition fragmentation / 反秦阵营诸侯化分裂 is the pattern Qinji 128-5 adds after 张楚政权’s early expansion. A movement that begins with a common anti-秦国 enemy quickly develops separate territorial regimes whose self-preservation can override coordinated attack.

The episode’s main case is 武臣 becoming Zhao king. 张耳 and 陈馀 persuade him to claim the title after 周文 retreats and after news spreads that 陈胜 kills returning commanders on slander. Chen Sheng’s anger is checked by 蔡赐, but recognition does not solve the strategic split.

Zhang Er and Chen Yu then advise Wu Chen not to attack Qin westward. They argue that Chen Sheng’s recognition is temporary and that a victorious Zhang Chu would later command Zhao. Wu Chen instead sends forces toward Yan, Dai, Henei, Changshan, and Shangdang. In the concept’s terms, anti-Qin revolt becomes proto-feudal self-strengthening before Qin has been defeated.

This pattern is related to 六国复国式反秦策略 but more pessimistic. The earlier strategy proposed multiplying Qin’s enemies under a broad anti-Qin purpose; this episode shows the restored-state logic turning into separate interest and coordination failure.

Qinji 128-8 widens the pattern beyond Zhao’s refusal to attack west. 田儋 restores Qi, 韩广 accepts Yan kingship after being sent by Wu Chen, and 周市 restores Wei through 魏咎. These are all anti-Qin in origin, but they turn the field into multiple revived state centers with their own hostage problems, captive negotiations, and claims to old legitimacy.

Qinji 129-1 adds an internal-command version of the fragmentation. The problem is no longer only that restored states such as Zhao, Yan, Qi, and Wei follow separate interests; Zhang Chu’s own generals can use battlefield crisis to remove 吴广, then rely on 陈胜’s non-punishment and promotion of 田臧 to stabilize the act after the fact.

Qinji 129-2 adds two sharper consequences. Inside 张楚政权, Tian Zang’s replacement command collapses quickly when 章邯 kills him and then defeats the officers left near Yingyang. Inside restored 赵国, 李良 is first approachable by 王离 because his Zhao route is blocked, then flips after a court-family insult convinces him that Wu Chen’s regime will not protect his status.

Qinji 129-3 makes the internal side of the fragmentation terminal. 陈馀 and 张耳 survive 李良’s Handan coup because Chen Yu’s Zhao networks warn them early, but 张楚政权 is failing in parallel: 秦嘉 kills 武平君畔 while borrowing 陈胜’s name, and Chen Sheng’s own 苛察忠诚陷阱 makes the rebel center less able to hold loyalty.
