Hanji 943 adds the pre-cascade succession field before Hanji 944-946. The first attempted killing comes from 蹇硕, who wants to remove 何进 before installing Liu Xie, later 汉献帝. The failed attempt then reverses into He Jin killing Jian Shuo and absorbing his guard command.

This source also shows how a palace violence sequence can begin as succession cleanup before it becomes general eunuch war. Once 刘辩 / 弘农王 and 何太后 hold the accession field, He Jin moves against 董太后 and 董重. Hanji 943 therefore supplies the first layer of force, fear, and faction liquidation that Hanji 944-946 later widen.
