Personal Guard Attack Surface / 贴身侍卫反噬

Personal guard attack surface / 贴身侍卫反噬 enters the wiki through Hanji 962. It names the security reversal in which a ruler’s most trusted physical protector becomes the easiest route for resentment, fear, or outside persuasion to reach the ruler.

The source case is 董卓 and 吕布. Dong Zhuo depends on Lü Bu because he is strong, skilled at riding and shooting, and close enough to serve as personal guard. That closeness does not create stable loyalty. Dong Zhuo’s violent temper, the hand-halberd incident, and Lü Bu’s fear that an affair will be exposed give 王允 the pressure points needed to convert the guard from shield into threat.

The concept differs from 刺杀接近凭证. A credential is an object, office, courtesy, surrender posture, or document that wins temporary proximity. A personal guard already has proximity; the vulnerable step is psychological and relational. It also differs from ordinary 私交信任的政治脆弱性 because the failed trust has an immediate physical-security consequence.

Key Claims

  • A personal guard is not only protection; the guard is also a standing access channel to the protected body.
  • Kinship language or sworn intimacy cannot compensate for repeated fear, humiliation, or lethal unpredictability.
  • Violence used to discipline a close protector can damage exactly the loyalty that makes protection useful.
  • A private scandal can turn resentment into urgency because the guard now fears exposure and punishment.
  • Outside conspirators do not need to defeat the security layer if they can persuade the security layer to reverse direction.
