After 帝号退回王号, Zhao Gao tells Ziying to bathe, fast, sacrifice in the royal ancestral temple, and receive the Qin king’s seal. Ziying tells his sons that Zhao Gao has killed two emperors and may be preparing another move; he therefore refuses the scheduled temple appearance, forces Zhao Gao to come personally, and has him killed by hidden men.
