Five Dynasties military-literati coexistence names EP252 《太平年》之外的五代十国,什么样?’s claim that the age was “武夫当国” but not anti-institutional in a simple way. Military force made regimes, defended rulers, and often destroyed them; literati remained necessary for documents, commands, ritual language, tax administration, and cultural continuity.
