Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo is the Italian automaker and racing organization that gave Enzo Ferrari his early racing and commercial platform in Ferrari. Enzo raced for Alfa, became a dealer, and then proposed running races with his own organization when Alfa reduced its direct racing activity.
That arrangement produced Scuderia Ferrari, making Alfa Romeo the institutional bridge between Enzo’s racing ambition and the later Ferrari company. The source also uses Alfa to show that Ferrari’s identity began inside a larger Italian racing ecosystem before becoming independent.
