安陵君 / Lord Anling
安陵君 / Lord Anling enters the wiki through 《资治通鉴·秦纪》103-1|司马迁看中的信陵君算是小人吗? as a 魏国 local lord caught between 信陵君’s field command and 苏高’s refusal to attack 管城. He first avoids direct compulsion by letting the Wei envoy invite Su Gao himself.
When Xinlingjun threatens Anling with 100,000 troops unless Su Gao is bound and delivered, Anling Jun refuses. His answer appeals to the older mandate by which his line received the city and to the local duty he inherited from the Wei court. The episode uses him to show that political obligation is layered: a field commander can see only emergency command, while a local lord can see oath, precedent, and legal-ritual continuity.
Anling Jun is not treated as simply correct. 胡三省 later criticizes him for preserving personal and local duty while 大梁 and Wei face danger from Qin. His role therefore belongs to 国存亡与父子君臣义冲突 rather than to an uncomplicated忠义 story.
《资治通鉴·秦纪》117-1|啪啪打脸!历史上“爽文”的开山鼻祖 returns to Anling after Wei’s fall through the 《战国策》 Tang Ju story. Ying Zheng proposes exchanging a much larger territory for Anling, and Anling Jun refuses by saying the land came from Wei’s former rulers and should be guarded. He then sends 唐雎 to Qin, where Tang Ju’s 布衣之怒 creates the episode’s “爽文” reversal. The source itself flags doubts around Anling chronology and the scene’s court details, so this page keeps the later Anling branch source-scoped.
