敖仓 / Aocang

敖仓 / Aocang enters the wiki through Qinji 134 as the grain source behind 王离’s siege pressure at 巨鹿. The episode says Qin food mainly comes from the Yellow River-side Aocang area north of Luoyang before being moved through the protected corridor toward the Julu front.

The page’s importance is logistical. 章邯 can keep Wang Li’s force large, active, and fed because the supply line still works; Julu’s defenders, by contrast, are losing food and soldiers inside the siege. Once 英布 and 蒲将军 break the yongdao system, Aocang no longer translates smoothly into battlefield strength around Julu.

Aocang therefore gives 巨鹿之战 a supply-chain layer. The episode’s version of 破釜沉舟 depends on first changing the material balance through 交通线切割, not only on creating desperate courage among Chu troops.

Hanji 153 part 2 reuses Aocang on the Han side after the 彭城之战. Once 刘邦 begins holding the 荥阳 front, he orders road construction from Xingyang toward the Yellow River ferry so Aocang grain can feed the army. The granary therefore shifts from a Qin supply source attacked before Julu into a Han logistical support point for 荥阳相持.

Hanji 159-1 gives the reversal. After 龙且 restores pressure for Chu and joins 项羽, Chu captures Aocang and controls Yellow River transport. Aocang therefore becomes the source of Han’s crisis rather than its stabilizer: once the granary and transport line are lost, Liu Bang faces food shortage at Xingyang and becomes receptive to 郦食其’s risky restoration proposal.

Hanji 162-1 uses Aocang counterfactually in the host’s critique of 项羽. After 刘邦 escapes 荥阳, the host argues that Xiang Yu might have pressed the central front by using Aocang as a rear logistics base, but instead follows Liu Bang south and becomes exposed to 彭越’s grain-route pressure.

Hanji 162-3 makes Aocang the centerpiece of 郦食其’s logistics warning to Liu Bang. Li Shiqi’s argument moves from ruler to people to grain: whoever can use Aocang’s reserves and the Chenggao line has a recoverable central front. The host flags part of the claim as rhetorical overstatement, because control of Aocang and Chenggao is not as settled as Li Shiqi makes it sound.

Hanji 163 shows the supply consequence once 曹咎 loses 成皋. Han recovers Aocang after the 汜水 rout, and 项羽 returns from Liang to a central front where Chu’s food position has deteriorated. The episode therefore turns Aocang from a strategic objective into the practical cause of pressure at 广武.
