Bogside
The Bogside appears in 698. The Troubles: The Brink of Civil War (Part 2) as the Catholic district of Derry / Londonderry where the August 1969 street confrontation became the Battle of the Bogside. The episode describes barricades, petrol bombs, first aid stations, water cannon, tear gas, burning shops, and clashing interpretations of whether the violence showed police aggression or insurrection.
The Bogside also becomes the place where British Army troops were initially welcomed by many Catholics and where Jim Callaghan was cheered after visiting. That welcome is source-scoped as temporary because troop deployment did not resolve the political crisis.
