Bookface
Bookface is the internal Y Combinator community software Garry Tan says he designed in Garry Tan on Returning to Y Combinator. The need appeared as YC batches grew from roughly two dozen companies toward larger groups where founders no longer knew everyone directly and outsiders could pretend to be YC companies.
The source makes Bookface a concrete Startup Community Infrastructure case. It solved a trust problem, a discovery problem, and a community-memory problem at the same time: founders could identify one another, ask questions, and carry institutional knowledge across batches as YC scaled.
