陈珪 / Chen Gui

陈珪 / Chen Gui enters the wiki through the Hanji 1016-1018 late-Han branch as 陈登’s father and political partner. Hanji 1016 makes him the pivotal family strategist before Chen Deng’s direct 曹操 channel opens: 袁术 invokes old friendship and hostage pressure through Chen Deng, but Chen Gui refuses to treat that private tie as stronger than the Han-court legitimacy field.

The same source gives Chen Gui the marriage-alliance blocking move. He persuades 吕布 that marrying into Yuan Shu’s side would expose 徐州 and attach Lü Bu to an illegitimate claimant, then pushes Lü Bu to recall his daughter and send 韩胤 to Cao Cao’s court. This makes Chen Gui a source case for both 名器合法性 and 联姻同盟战场暴露.

Hanji 1017 reads him as a deeper family-survival strategist rather than only a tactical adviser: short term, he uses Lü Bu to balance Yuan Shu’s pressure on Xuzhou; middle term, the Chen family uses offices and local force to build its own capacity; long term, the family keeps a channel to Cao Cao for the post-Lü-Bu order.

Hanji 1018 then shows Chen Gui as the adviser whom Lü Bu blames after 袁术 attacks. The episode says Chen Gui had earlier advised against Yuan Shu’s marriage alliance, making him the convenient target when Lü Bu sees Yuan Shu’s seven-direction campaign forming.

Chen Gui’s answer is an alliance diagnosis. He argues that 韩暹, 杨奉, and Yuan Shu do not have a durable interest bond, so their joint attack can be split. The page therefore treats Chen Gui less as a biographical subject than as the voice of 利益结构式联盟脆弱性 in this source.
