Denis Johnson (Bicycle)

Denis Johnson is the English carriage maker discussed in No.199 自行车 200年 as an early commercializer of Karl Drais / 卡尔·德莱斯’s running machine. The source says he bought rights around the Drais design in Britain, opened a manufacturing operation, and even built a riding-school layer around the novelty.

His page’s wiki role is to show that Bicycle Product Evolution had a business-model problem from the beginning. Early bicycles needed manufacturing, instruction, road access, social permission, and pricing that ordinary riders could accept, not just a clever two-wheeled device.
