Dongting Lake / 洞庭湖
Dongting Lake appears in 65.龙王之怒:1931年的长江洪水 as part of the flood-control conflict around the middle [[YangtzeRiver|Yangtze]] region. The episode says that keeping natural openings could relieve pressure on major dikes, but could also send floodwater toward lake communities.
In the source, Dongting Lake is therefore less a scenic place than a risk-distribution node. It shows why dikes, breaches, diversions, and “protection” can become inter-village, inter-provincial, and political conflicts.
