逢泽 / Fengze
逢泽 / Fengze appears in 《资治通鉴·周纪》18丨中国历史上第一例人头税 as the meeting site where 公子少官 brings 秦国 troops to join the lords before going to audience with the Zhou king. The event belongs to Zhou recognition of Qin hegemon status after 秦孝公 is elevated among the vassals.
The source notes conflicting locations for Fengze: one tradition places it north of present-day Xingyang, while another maps it south of present-day Kaifeng. The host infers that a location west of 洛邑 would make more sense, because Qin forces would otherwise have to pass through the Zhou capital.
