Overview

Gao Lan enters the wiki as a Yuan Shao general associated with Zhang He during the collapse after the Wuchao Raid. Hanji 1049 presents him as part of the Yuan-side command group that burns its equipment and surrenders to Cao Cao after Guo Tu’s slander makes continued service dangerous.

Gao Lan’s current profile is narrower than Zhang He’s. The episode does not give him independent strategic counsel, but it pairs him with Zhang He at the decisive defection point after Yuan Shao’s Wuchao misallocation and failed attack on Cao’s camp.
