Gaoyou / 高邮
Gaoyou appears in 65.龙王之怒:1931年的长江洪水 as one of the episode’s sharpest local disaster scenes. The source says floodwater broke through at night and collapsed the city wall, with a conservative estimate of more than 2,000 people dying in their sleep.
The episode also uses Gaoyou in the religious-politics layer: the local City God temple had reportedly been removed before the flood, which made “Dragon King anger” or divine retribution explanations more plausible to survivors.
