公子纠 / Gongzi Jiu enters the wiki through 《资治通鉴·周纪》75-2丨“穷奢极侈”的祖师爷管仲 as 姜小白’s rival in the succession race after 公孙无知 is killed. 管仲 serves Gongzi Jiu, while 鲍叔牙 serves Jiang Xiaobai.

The source makes Gongzi Jiu important less as a full biographical figure than as the defeated pole of Guan Zhong’s choice.
