Graceland Baskaran

Graceland Baskaran is the mining economist and rare-earth expert interviewed in How to get what Greenland has, with permission. Planet Money uses her to separate the existence of mineral deposits from the harder problem of turning those deposits into usable industrial and defense inputs.
