灌婴 / Guan Ying enters the wiki through Hanji 144 as one of 刘邦’s officers who backs an immediate attack on 项羽 after Liu Bang is made Han king in 汉中. The episode groups him with 周勃 and 樊哙 as part of the military faction whose anger must be acknowledged before 萧何 can make retreat acceptable.
Hanji 148-1 gives Guan Ying an active role in 韩信’s Three Qin operation. He is sent out by the Ziwu route to pressure 章邯’s left-side attention, then enters 关中 after the central breakthrough. The episode also highlights his cavalry talent, calling him a major commander of long-range cavalry movement and linking him to the seizure of 栎阳 / Liyang after Zhang Han’s position breaks.
Hanji 153 part 2 makes Guan Ying the visible commander of 汉军骑兵建设 after the 彭城之战. 李璧 and 骆甲 supply former Qin cavalry expertise but recommend that Liu Bang use a trusted Han-side rider as chief commander; Guan Ying is appointed general while they serve as deputies. The episode then gives him an early victory east of 荥阳, where Han cavalry checks Chu cavalry and helps keep 项羽 from pushing beyond the Xingyang front.
Hanji 149 part 2 confirms Liyang’s strategic afterlife by making it Liu Bang’s capital after the Guanzhong breakthrough, so Guan Ying’s earlier seizure belongs to the geography Liu Bang soon uses as a rear capital base.
Hanji 154 follows up the closing accusation from Hanji 153 part 2. The host treats Guan Ying, grouped with 周勃 and other old generals, as part of a veteran circle resentful of 陈平’s rapid outsider promotion. Because Guan Ying is identified as a Suiyang figure rather than someone close to Chen Ping’s family setting, the episode treats the “盗嫂” detail as weakly grounded and likely added to the more concrete “受金” complaint.
Hanji 155-2 puts Guan Ying back into field command under 韩信. After Han Xin’s hidden crossing at 下阳 exposes 魏豹, Guan Ying’s cavalry crosses and pursues while 曹参 presses from the Anyi side, helping convert the river deception into Wei Bao’s capture.
Hanji 164-2 adds Guan Ying to the follow-up after 潍水之战. After 龙且 is killed and 田广 is captured, Guan Ying captures the Qi chancellor Tian Guang, enters Boyang, and later defeats 田横 at Ying County. The source therefore extends Guan Ying from cavalry repair and pursuit roles into the eastern pacification that finishes 齐国 for Han.
Hanji 168 part 1 returns Guan Ying to pursuit cavalry at the end of 垓下之战. After 项羽 breaks out with eight hundred men, Han forces discover the escape at dawn and send Guan Ying with five thousand cavalry. The source uses the chase to show that Xiang Yu’s remaining force is no longer a battle army: after the Huai River crossing he has only a little over one hundred men before the Yinling misdirection lets Han cavalry close in.
Hanji 182 part 2 adds a post-founding pursuit case. During the 陈豨之乱 suppression, Guan Ying and 靳歙 pursue the 侯昶 branch toward 曲逆; Guan Ying defeats and kills Hou Chang and recovers several Zhao-region positions. This extends Guan Ying’s role from Chu-Han cavalry pursuit into early Han internal pacification.
Hanji 188 adds Guan Ying to the final 英布 / 黥布 campaign. When 刘邦 finally attacks after 曹参 and 刘肥 arrive, Guan Ying leads the rapid force that wraps from the northwest, matching his recurring cavalry-pursuit profile but now in early Han internal rebellion suppression rather than Chu-Han conquest.
