Hackpad

Hackpad is the collaborative-document product team Christina Cacioppo joined at Dropbox in Christina Cacioppo on Vanta, Coding, and Compliance Automation. Christina worked with the Hackpad founders and describes the team as separate from the main Dropbox organization while it was becoming Dropbox Paper.

In the source, Hackpad matters because it made enterprise launch constraints concrete. Dropbox Paper was widely used inside Dropbox, but external launch ran into security and compliance commitments in customer contracts, helping Christina later recognize SOC 2 Audit pain as a startup opportunity.
