韩通 / Han Tong

Han Tong / 韩通 is the Later Zhou official whom 169.宋太祖之死：烛影斧声，阴谋论中的人性谜团（上） presents as the main loyalist victim of [[ChenQiaoMutiny|陈桥兵变]]. The source says he tried to resist [[ZhaoKuangyin|赵匡胤]]’s return to power but was killed before he could assemble effective forces, and his family was also killed.

The episode uses Han Tong to complicate the “peaceful abdication” story. Zhao Kuangyin later honored him to acknowledge loyal conduct, but that retrospective honor does not erase the violence required to make the transfer irreversible.
