The jade then becomes a political object. The source says it later reaches 赵国, appears in 邯郸, is bought by 缪贤, and is forced into 赵惠文王赵何’s possession. Once 秦昭襄王 offers fifteen cities for it, the object becomes a test of interstate credibility rather than only royal desire.
