黄琬 / Huang Wan (late Han)
Hanji 948 adds Huang Wan before the relocation debate and anti-Dong-Zhuo planning branches. 董卓 appoints him as situ after the forced replacement of 刘辩 / 弘农王 with 汉献帝, using a senior court office to broaden the legitimacy surface of the new order.
The source treats the appointment as part of 朝廷开府任官失序 and 名器合法性 rather than proof that Huang Wan endorses Dong Zhuo’s rule. Later pages show Huang Wan de-escalating danger around 杨彪 and then joining anti-Dong-Zhuo planning.
Hanji 951 backfills Huang Wan’s earlier court-risk role during 董卓’s forced relocation from 洛阳 to 长安. When 杨彪’s opposition angers Dong Zhuo, Huang Wan helps soften the confrontation; Dong Zhuo later removes him from office and then restores him only after apology.
This makes Huang Wan part of the pre-assassination defensive speech field before his later anti-Dong-Zhuo planning role. The source shows that even senior officials could sometimes reduce immediate danger, but could not stop 强制迁都 once Dong Zhuo chose punishment and military force.
Hanji 962 backfills Huang Wan’s anti-董卓 role before his Hanji 966 execution. The episode names him with 王允, 士孙瑞, 杨瓒, and other officials who repeatedly plan how to remove Dong Zhuo while Dong Zhuo’s close-guard layer around 吕布 remains the operational obstacle.
黄琬 / Huang Wan enters the wiki through Hanji 966 as a court official tied to 王允’s anti-董卓 settlement. The episode says Huang Wan had helped Wang Yun plan Dong Zhuo’s removal and helped stabilize the immediate scene after the killing.
His later arrest and execution after 李傕 and 郭汜 take 长安 makes him part of the purge field before Hanji 967’s hidden-merit contrast around 士孙瑞. Huang Wan is not developed as a full biography here; his role is to show that visible participation in the anti-Dong-Zhuo order becomes lethal once Dong Zhuo’s remnant commanders return with soldiers and captured offices.
