胡车儿 / Hu Che’er enters the wiki through Hanji 1013 as a fierce subordinate of 张绣. The source first makes him a threat signal: 曹操 gives him gold and silver after taking 邹氏, and Zhang Xiu reads that reward as Cao Cao trying to pull away one of his strongest men.

Hu Che’er then becomes the operational hinge of the Wancheng attack. Because 典韦 is too dangerous to face directly, Hu Che’er drinks with him, gets him drunk, and steals his heavy double halberds before Zhang Xiu’s night attack.
