呼征 / Huzheng Chanyu

Hanji 914 first places 呼征 / Huzheng in the wiki as the son who succeeds after the 南匈奴 chanyu dies in 178 CE. This makes his accession a normal succession marker before the later violent intervention.

Hanji 917 later shows Huzheng as the chanyu killed by 张脩, the Han protector of Xiongnu. The source says Zhang Xiu and Huzheng are at odds, Zhang kills him without authorization, and 羌渠 is then installed as chanyu.

Huzheng’s page is source-scoped and exists mainly to keep the 178-179 CE Southern Xiongnu succession branch distinct from the later 188 CE Qiangqu killing and Yufuluo succession crisis.
