Irish Republican Army

The Irish Republican Army appears in 698. The Troubles: The Brink of Civil War (Part 2) as both a remembered republican threat and a limited armed presence during the 1968-1969 escalation. The episode links the IRA to the earlier border campaign, notes republican presence around some civil-rights organizing, and says the Belfast IRA had very few weapons during the August 1969 violence.
