交趾郡 / Jiaozhi Commandery
Jiaozhi Commandery enters the wiki through Hanji 927 as a southern commandery in the region of today’s northern Vietnam and the Red River valley. The source emphasizes pearls and distance from the capital to explain why earlier inspectors could treat the post as a temporary extraction opportunity.
The rebellion in the source is presented as a legitimacy failure before it is a military problem. Prior inspectors extract wealth, request transfers after enriching themselves, and leave local people and lower officials with no practical complaint route. Rebels then capture the inspector and the Hepu administrator Lai Da and choose a leader styled Zhu Tian General.
贾从’s pacification gives Jiaozhi its main wiki function: a case where local order returns only after the incoming official investigates root causes, relieves burdens, reassures displaced people, removes violent leaders, and installs clean county-level officials. Later pages such as 刘焉 and 董扶 use Jiaozhi as a remote survival destination, while Hanji 927 supplies an earlier view of its local governance conditions.
