晋鄙 / Jin Bi enters the wiki through 《资治通鉴·周纪》96丨毛遂自荐（2） as the 魏国 commander whom 魏安釐王 sends north with 100,000 troops to rescue 赵国 during the 邯郸 crisis. His dispatch shows that Wei has not completely ignored Zhao’s danger after 长平之战.

The episode’s key point is that dispatch is not the same as effective rescue. After 秦昭襄王 warns Wei that Qin will attack Wei next if Zhao is destroyed, Wei Anxi Wang orders Jin Bi to stop at 邺城 and observe. Jin Bi therefore becomes the military face of a stalled coalition: troops exist, but political fear prevents them from reaching the decisive battlefield.
