纪信 / Ji Xin
纪信 / Ji Xin enters the wiki through Hanji 141 as one of 刘邦’s trusted old subordinates in the Hongmen entourage. The episode lists him with 樊哙, 夏侯婴, 金强, and the accompanying cavalry who travel from 霸上 but remain outside the camp gate when Liu Bang and 张良 enter 项羽’s tent.
For this source, Ji Xin’s role is not developed beyond loyalty and proximity. His presence matters because Liu Bang’s apology scene is not unprotected innocence: the trusted guard-and-rider layer stays outside the room while speech and etiquette are tested inside.
Hanji 142 extends that proximity into the escape itself. Ji Xin is named among the close attendants who leave with Liu Bang by the small-road route from Hongmen back to 霸上, while 张良 remains behind to manage the formal explanation.
