鄄城 / Juancheng (Late Han)
Hanji 978 adds the direct Juancheng crisis before Hanji 979’s later assessment of Lü Bu’s missed opportunity. 郭贡 arrives below the city with several tens of thousands of soldiers while rumor links him to 吕布, and 荀彧 preserves the city’s confidence by calmly going out to meet him despite 夏侯惇’s warning.
In this source Juancheng is not only a route target but a morale system. Guo Gong withdraws because Xun Yu’s composure makes the city’s weakness ambiguous, turning Juancheng into an early 战场信息控制 case inside 曹操’s 兖州 base crisis.
鄄城 / Juancheng enters the wiki through Hanji 979 as one of 曹操’s remaining 兖州 strongholds during the crisis caused by 陈宫, 张邈, and 吕布.
The source uses Juancheng mainly in the negative strategic assessment of Lü Bu. Cao Cao says Lü Bu would have been far more dangerous had he occupied Juancheng, blocked the Taishan-Kangfu route, and cut the grain road; instead, Lü Bu returns toward 濮阳. Juancheng therefore marks the city-and-route opportunity Lü Bu misses before the Puyang branch.
