沮授 / Ju Shou
沮授 / Ju Shou enters the wiki through Hanji 992 as the adviser who urges 袁绍 to welcome 汉献帝 to Ye. His argument is that Yuan Shao’s family prestige, the emperor’s displacement, and the damaged ancestral temples create a short 合法性窗口抢占: by holding the emperor, Yuan Shao can command lords in the Han name and punish those who refuse.
The source contrasts Ju Shou with 郭图 and 淳于琼, who warn that hosting the emperor will constrain Yuan Shao. Ju Shou’s reply is a timing argument: if Yuan Shao delays, another actor will seize the advantage first. The host reads Yuan Shao’s refusal as ceding the “挟天子以令诸侯” opportunity to 曹操.
