莒 / Ju
莒 / Ju appears in 《资治通鉴·周纪》73丨历史上自由恋爱的开创者是谁？ as one of the surviving Qi-held places after 燕国 and 乐毅 shatter 齐国. The episode calls it 莒城 when 田法章 hides there after 齐湣王’s death.
In this source, Ju is both refuge and restoration base. Tian Fazhang disappears into 太史角’s household there, 王孙古’s revenge against 淖齿 / 卓齿 clears the immediate killer, and Qi ministers finally install Tian Fazhang at Ju as 齐襄王.
《资治通鉴·周纪》78丨齐国命运竟被城管给救了？ keeps Ju in the same final-holdout role. Along with 即墨, it is one of the two remaining Qi-held cities while 乐毅 surrounds but does not storm them, preferring occupation pacification over a costly assault.
