蒯越 / Kuai Yue
Hanji 1010 adds Kuai Yue to 刘表’s earlier 荆州 consolidation. The transcript renders the name as “款越”; the wiki keeps the canonical late-Han form. In this source, Kuai Yue helps mark the local elite layer through which Liu Biao enters, stabilizes, and controls northern Jingzhou.
蒯越 / Kuai Yue enters the wiki through Hanji 1011 as one of the Jingzhou elite figures around 刘表 whom 祢衡 mocks after arriving from 曹操’s side. The transcript appears as “款越/款月”; the wiki normalizes it to Kuai Yue in this late-Han context.
The source does not give Kuai Yue a standalone policy role. His function is social and political: Mi Heng’s sharp speech offends Liu Biao’s surrounding elite, and that offended circle becomes the environment in which rumors against Mi Heng can circulate. The episode therefore uses Kuai Yue as part of the local pressure that lets Liu Biao move from hospitality to delegated removal.
