Kulvir Taggar
Kulvir Taggar is Harj Taggar’s cousin and co-founder in Harj Taggar on Y Combinator, Triplebyte, and Hiring Judgment. He co-applied to Y Combinator in Winter 2007 with BoSo, then worked with Harj as the idea shifted into Automatic / Automatic Auctions.
Tom Blomfield on Monzo, YC, and Founder Lessons adds Kulvir through Tom Blomfield’s path into startups. Tom says Kulvir introduced him to the people who became the GoCardless founding group during Tom’s gardening leave, after the earlier Oxford student-marketplace orbit with Harj Taggar.
The source gives Kulvir an important family-context role. Harj says Kulvir’s mother had entrepreneurial experience and encouraged the families to let the founders try, helping counter the skepticism Harj faced because his parents had experienced a failed baby-clothes store and preferred a stable career after Oxford.
