后蜀 / Later Shu

Later Shu / 后蜀 is one of the southern regimes in 五代十国. In EP252 《太平年》之外的五代十国，什么样？, it belongs with 前蜀, Wu, and 南唐 as a regime that could interact with central-plain dynasties from a comparatively parallel position.

For the wiki’s existing Song branch, Later Shu also points forward to 先南后北 and 川蜀征服后反抗. The episode helps explain why Shu was not simply a conquest target but part of a richer southern-regime landscape.
