梁衍 / Liang Yan enters the wiki through Hanji 951 as 皇甫嵩’s changshi. When 董卓 is in 洛阳 and 汉献帝 is being moved west, Liang Yan proposes that Huangfu Song use his troops to welcome the emperor and then attack Dong Zhuo under imperial authority, while coordinating with 袁绍 from the east.
The source uses Liang Yan as the adviser who sees the legitimacy-window logic that Huangfu Song rejects. His plan would convert the emperor’s name into an anti-Dong-Zhuo command channel, but Huangfu Song treats the risk to family, followers, and formal position as too high.
