郦商 / Li Shang

郦商 / Li Shang enters the wiki through Qinji 136 as 郦食其’s younger brother. The transcript writes the name as “丽商,” but the role matches the historical 郦商, so this page keeps the canonical form.

After 陈留 falls, Li Shiqi recommends Li Shang to 刘邦. Liu Bang appoints him as a general and gives him a large share of Chenliu’s former troops to lead, making Li Shang part of the immediate military payoff from Li Shiqi’s persuasion and Chenliu’s surrender.

Qinji 136 does not yet develop Li Shang’s independent career. For that source, his role is a source-scoped extension of the Li Shiqi access-and-reward branch: persuasion wins not only advice uptake, but family placement inside Liu Bang’s expanding command structure.

Hanji 170 part 1 returns to Li Shang as a revenge risk. 田横 hesitates to answer Liu Bang’s summons because Tian Heng had killed 郦食其, and Li Shang is now a high-ranking Han officer. Liu Bang orders Li Shang not to harm Tian Heng or his followers, making Li Shang’s restrained vengeance part of the broader attempt to fold defeated Qi elites into 西汉 order.

Hanji 188 adds Li Shang to the final 英布 / 黥布 campaign. In the coordinated Han attack near Qi County, Li Shang’s force presses Ying Bu from the front while 曹参 and 灌婴 strike from other directions, giving him a direct field role in ending the Huainan rebellion.
