Mahsa Alert is the app Amir Rashidi says the internet freedom community outside Iran developed to help with alerting during the wartime blackout discussed in 34 days without internet in Iran. The episode treats it as a useful but constrained workaround because it still requires internet access.

The source uses Mahsa Alert to show the limits of tool-level responses to state-level network partitioning.
