绵竹 / Mianzhu enters the wiki through Hanji 940 as the 益州 location where 马相 and 赵祗 begin their uprising. The episode also says 刘焉 later moves the provincial seat there after entering Yizhou.
Mianzhu therefore functions as both crisis site and attempted settlement site. It is where official extraction backlash becomes open revolt, and then where Liu Yan tries to stabilize the province through 益州宽惠安抚.
