南阳郡 / Nanyang Commandery appears in 《资治通鉴·周纪》85｜宣太后为何私通30年后暗杀了老情人？ as the Qin commandery organized after 魏国’s previous cession of Nanyang to 秦国. Hanji 936 adds an earlier late-Han crisis marker. Qin Jie, the Nanyang administrator, is killed during 赵慈’s Jiangxia revolt before Jingzhou inspector Wang Min suppresses Zhao Ci. The commandery’s role here is brief but shows Nanyang appearing again in a wider late-Han breakdown field.
Hanji 1010 adds a late-Han use of Nanyang. 张济 enters 荆州 and attacks 穰城 in Nanyang while looking for a base, then dies during the fighting.
