Pickwing
Pickwing is Eddie Kim / Edward Kim’s first Y Combinator startup, discussed in Gusto Co-Founders: Josh Reeves, Edward Kim & Tomer London. The product let users email photos that would be printed and mailed to recipients, then the team explored Wi-Fi digital photo frames after the original market proved weak.
The source uses Pickwing mainly as founder prehistory. Its struggle with shrinking physical photo printing gave Eddie early exposure to customer demand, unit economics, and the limits of building in a market moving away from the product’s core behavior.
