Princess Taiping enters the wiki through Hanji 536-3 as the Li-Tang royal contact through whom 上官婉儿 seeks a fallback after the 武三思 and 韦后 alignment becomes dangerous. She also appears as the figure who honors Shangguan Wan’er after death.

The episode says that after surviving 李重俊’s failed coup, Shangguan Wan’er feared the next political upheaval might kill her. She therefore distanced herself from Empress Wei and drew closer to Li-Tang royal figures, especially Princess Taiping. After 唐中宗’s death, Shangguan Wan’er believed an edict drafted with Princess Taiping and including 李旦 could prove her political stance to 李隆基, but the document did not save her.
