骑劫 / Qi Jie enters the wiki through 《资治通鉴·周纪》78丨齐国命运竟被城管给救了？ as the 燕国 general 燕惠王 sends to replace 乐毅 after 田单’s rumor operation succeeds.
The episode does not yet develop Qi Jie’s own strategy or biography. His immediate function is structural: by taking Le Yi’s place at the front, he turns court suspicion into battlefield commander replacement risk, damaging Yan army morale and setting up Tian Dan’s later counterattack.
《资治通鉴·周纪》79丨史上用耕牛 打胜仗第一人 makes that risk concrete. Qi Jie abandons Le Yi’s people-soothing posture and follows Tian Dan’s planted rumors: Yan troops cut the noses of Qi prisoners and dig up graves outside Jimo. The episode treats those acts as atrocity backfire mobilization, because they harden Qi resistance rather than terrifying it into surrender.
Qi Jie then accepts the false surrender setup around Jimo and is killed during Tian Dan’s fire-ox night raid. His page therefore shifts from “replacement general” to a case where weak command judgment turns an occupying army’s advantage into collapse.
