齐襄公 / Duke Xiang of Qi
齐襄公 / Duke Xiang of Qi enters this wiki through 《资治通鉴·周纪》75-2丨“穷奢极侈”的祖师爷管仲 as the ruler whose private and political disorder sets up 管仲’s later statecraft problem. The episode uses him to illustrate “君不君” role collapse: he maintains a scandalous relationship with 文姜, and 鲁桓公 is killed during the resulting Qi-Lu crisis.
The episode says Qi Xiang Gong then kills the killer, but that does not repair the damage. His conduct leaves 齐国 exposed to internal violence: 公孙无知 kills him and briefly takes power, creating the vacancy that brings 姜小白 and 公子纠 racing home from abroad.
This page is distinct from 齐襄王 / King Xiang of Qi, the later Warring States ruler restored after the Yan conquest of Qi.
