Quora

Quora appears in Alexandr Wang on Scale and AI Data Infrastructure as the company where Alexandr Wang worked during his gap year before MIT. Wang says he built a prototype that Quora leadership liked, but Adam D’Angelo encouraged him to attend at least some college rather than stay immediately.

In this source, Quora matters less as a product case than as an early Silicon Valley apprenticeship. It gave Wang startup exposure before Y Combinator and before he converted his AI-data interest into Scale AI.
