麹义 / Qu Yi (late Han)
Hanji 956 backfills Qu Yi before Jieqiao. He is introduced as 韩馥’s rebelling subordinate: Han Fu fails to suppress him, and 袁绍 uses the opportunity to pull him into his own camp. In this source Qu Yi is not yet the formation commander of Hanji 960; he is a pressure point in Yuan Shao’s Jizhou acquisition.
麹义 / Qu Yi (late Han) enters the wiki through Hanji 960 as 袁绍’s tactical commander at 界桥之战. The source says Yuan Shao places Qu Yi in front with a small infantry force while arranging strong crossbows on the sides.
Qu Yi’s value in this episode is tactical discipline. His soldiers do not break when 公孙瓒’s cavalry charges; they hold behind shields until the mounted force is close enough for the crossbows to matter. The result kills 严纲, disrupts Gongsun Zan’s army, and lets Qu Yi pursue to the enemy camp gate.
The page is source-scoped. Qu Yi matters here as the named operator of 盾弩反骑兵战术, showing that Yuan Shao’s camp can produce battlefield competence even while the episode criticizes Yuan Shao’s broader talent-use judgment through Xun Yu.
