如姬 / Ru Ji

如姬 / Ru Ji enters the wiki through 《资治通鉴·周纪》96丨毛遂自荐（6） as the favored woman around 魏安釐王 whose access to the royal bedroom makes 信陵君’s rescue plan possible.

Her role depends on a prior debt. The episode says Ru Ji’s father had been killed, and one of Xinlingjun’s retainers helped avenge that killing. Because she is grateful to Xinlingjun and is willing to risk her life for him, 侯嬴 identifies her as the only plausible person who can steal the king’s half of the tiger tally.

Ru Ji therefore marks the palace-access side of 窃符救赵. The plan is not only military or retainer-driven; it also depends on an intimate court channel that can reach the object formal commanders need but cannot obtain through open command.
