Sherlock Holmes / 福尔摩斯

Sherlock Holmes is the detective character created by [[ArthurConanDoyle|Arthur Conan Doyle / 柯南道尔]]. In 60.闲聊伟大作家们的八卦（第一弹）, [[MihuanChishu|蜜獾吃书]] uses Holmes to show the gap between an author’s preferred self-image and the character that readers actually seize. Doyle wanted to be recognized as a historical novelist, but Holmes became the durable public figure.

The episode also treats Holmes as a publishing and visual-design case. The character’s name changed before publication, and the familiar thin, elegant Holmes image emerged through later illustration rather than from the earliest depiction. Fan backlash after Doyle killed Holmes in “The Final Problem” shows how serialized fiction can create reader ownership pressure.
