司马卬 / Sima Ang
司马卬 / Sima Ang enters the wiki through Qinji 136 as a Zhao-side commander attempting to move south across the Yellow River toward 关中. The episode treats his movement as a competitive threat to 刘邦’s westward mission.
Liu Bang responds by attacking around Pingyin and cutting the crossing route. In the source’s interpretation, the point is not only operational security but credit control under 怀王之约: if another commander enters Guanzhong first, Liu Bang’s promised reward route is endangered.
Sima Ang therefore marks the competitive side of anti-Qin coalition warfare. Even while multiple forces oppose Qin, their routes and prizes can conflict, keeping 反秦阵营诸侯化分裂 active inside the shared campaign.
Hanji 143 gives Sima Ang a post-Qin reward despite that earlier route competition with Liu Bang. 项羽 makes him Yin king with capital at Chaoge because he had pacified Henei. His page therefore now includes both the pre-settlement competition for 关中 and the later military-merit title inside 周秦混合制.
Hanji 150 part 2 adds Sima Ang’s role in 陈平’s Xiang-camp exposure. The episode says 项羽 sends Chen Ping to deal with Sima Ang after Sima Ang rebels; Chen Ping succeeds and is rewarded. When Sima Ang later turns toward Liu Bang after the Han attack on Chaoge, Xiang Yu’s anger makes Chen Ping fear punishment and flee.
Hanji 149 part 2 gives the end of that Yin-king position. After 魏豹 submits, Liu Bang advances into Henei, captures Sima Ang, and organizes the new territory as 河内郡. Sima Ang therefore becomes another title-holder whose Xiang Yu settlement position is converted into Liu Bang-side commandery control.
Hanji 152 part 2 adds a source-scoped later status note by saying the Yin king Sima Ang has died in battle after Pengcheng’s reversal. The page preserves that as a later endpoint or compressed recap alongside Hanji 149 part 2’s earlier capture-and-commandery conversion, rather than treating it as a resolved chronology on its own.
