泗水 / Si River
泗水 / Si River enters the wiki first through the 彭城 / 徐州 and 九鼎 branch in Qinji 122-3. In that source, 秦始皇 searches the river near Pengcheng for a lost ding, making the Si River part of a failed imperial attempt to recover a Zhou legitimacy symbol.
Hanji 151 part 2 gives the same regional water system a battle role. After 项羽 breaks 刘邦’s coalition at the 彭城之战, the source describes Han troops being pressed around the north banks of Gu water and Si River before the pursuit continues toward 睢水.
The page therefore connects Pengcheng’s sacred-political geography to its battlefield geography. Around the same city, water first marks unrecovered legitimacy under Qin and later marks the terrain through which Chu cavalry turns Han retreat into rout.
